This is the true story of John Reed (Warren Beatty), a radical American journalist around the time of World War I. He meets Louise Bryant (Diane Keaton), who dumps her husband (Nicolas Coster) for Reed and becomes a radical.
They go to Russia for the big revolution, decide they like the commies, and return to America trying to inspire something similar.
It didn't work "... and here's guessing not many Tea Partiers have this on DVD.

Turns out the turning point was in 1927, when studio head William Fox invited German expressionist filmmaker F. W. Murnau to make an art film with a studio budget.
The result, Sunrise , is a heady psychological thriller that played with audiences' minds and tricked their eyes with innovative camera movement.

What is happening to American History. Very little was mention in the news media about the attack on American Naval Fleet that force the United States into WWII. What an abomination of a major factor and force that lead to industrial and technological advances in the United States, It is time to quit studying about Communism, Socialism, Islam, and gay rights in our public schools and down to teach our American youth about the history that shaped this country.
Get the liberalism out of the schools, Washington, and the American society. It is apauling how we can't have anything related to Christianity in the schools, but the study of Islam, Buddism, and other foreign religions can run rampant in the so-called history taught in schools. Even the national news media have gone from mentioning the Christmas season and now only calling this time of year a Happy Holiday! Also Thanksgiving has become a forgotten holiday. A person can hardly find anything in the stores related to Thanksgiving.... Only items related to Fall Harvest...
No wonder this country is becomming a socilist country .........
